Contraindications

It's always a good idea to check you don't have any sneeky contraindications that may prevent your treatment from going ahead. These could be things such as certain medication types, sensitive or watery eyes, use of eye drops, or breastfeeding to name a few.

Please have a quick read through by clicking HERE to ensure you are all good to go for your lash lift.

If you have never had a lash lift or lash tint before I strongly advise you book in for a free patch test at least 48 hours before your lash lift.

Preparation Instructions

24 HOURS PRIOR TO TREATMENT

  • Do not wear water-proof mascara

  • Do not wear oil based products or makeup on your eye lashes

  • If you have had a spray tan, ensure guide colour is washed off

ON THE DAY OF TREATMENT

  • Do not wear mascara

  • Avoid applying oil-based make-up products on your lashes (or around your eyes)

  • Contact lenses must be removed prior to the treatment, for this reason it is recommend glasses are worn

  • Do not have a spray tan

  • Remove any false lashes

Aftercare - Within the first 24 hours

  1. Don’t get your lashes wet for the first 24 hours, and avoid steam, saunas and swimming.
It’s also worth avoiding the gym or heavy exercise for the first 24 hours.  Getting your lashes wet will deactivate the solution and make the lash lift ineffective.

  2. To protect your tinted lashes, avoid strong sunlight or UV light for the first 24 hours.

  3. Try not to touch or rub your lashes, especially when washing or cleansing your face.

  4. Avoid eye makeup.

  5. avoid direct heat on your lashes.

  6. After your treatment, avoid sleeping on your front or side, so your lashes don’t get disturbed whilst they set in place.

Ongoing Aftercare

  1. Don’t use lash curlers, they can be harsh on your natural lashes. With LVL lashes, you won’t need them anyway.

  2. No oil-based makeup or oil-based makeup remover. If you need an oil-free alternative, have a chat with me about the foaming lash cleanser I stock.

  3. Avoid using water-proof mascara is very drying and can cause the ends of your lashes to snap.

  4. You don’t need to wear mascara with an LVL, since the treatment tints and colours your upper and lower natural lashes to make them look longer and thicker. If you still want to wear mascara to enhance your look further, make sure you don’t overload your lashes to avoid pulling the curl down, and don't sleep with your mascara on.

  5. Caring for your lashes after a chemical treatment is no different to caring for your hair after a chemical treatment at the hair salon. You will need to ensure you nourish the hair in order to protect it from drying out, becoming brittle, and/or breaking. To maintain healthy structure and prolong the duration of your tint, I recommend using the Lash & Brow Conditioning Serum twice daily.

  6. To really level up your lash lift game, you could also incorporate an eyelash growth serum into your daily routine, to get that extra length on your natural lashes.
